KATE LINENBACH
Editor-in-Chief
Kate is a fourth-year Biopsychology major with a minor in Education. As Editor-in-Chief, they are excited to lead The Aggie Transcript: Psychology through its first year as an independent student organization. They are passionate about writing in all forms and are eager to distribute important findings in psychology. They have worked as a research assistant in the Social Cognition and Attraction and Relationships labs since 2020, where they have helped conduct multiple studies. Additionally, they completed a proof of concept study for the popular music therapy app Soundmind in 2022. This year, they are serving as a teaching assistant under Dr. Paul Eastwick for PSC 150: Relationship Science: Love, Lust, and Evolution. Outside of The Aggie Transcript: Psychology, they work for Undergraduate Education as a Learning, Teaching, and Assessment Student Program Assistant. In their free time, they enjoy playing Stardew Valley, running with the XCTF club, and photography.
KARA LONG
Senior Editor
Kara Long is a fourth year Psychology major with a minor in Sociology. She is a founding board member and senior editor of The Aggie Transcript: Psychology. Kara is passionate about writing and psychological research. In addition to her work with The Aggie Transcript: Psychology, she is employed as a writing tutor for the AATC and is a research assistant at the Developmental Research Center. Kara wants to pursue a career in Clinical Forensic Psychology and plans to go to graduate school in the near future to get her PhD.
ISHA SUBA
Managing Editor
Isha Suba is a third-year biological sciences major and the managing editor of the Aggie Transcript: Psychology. She is interested in the intersection between biology and psychology and enjoys learning about the biological aspect of neurodevelopmental disorders. She is also a volunteer at Shifa Community Clinic and a research assistant at the UC Davis Department of Surgery through RESURG. When she’s not editing papers for the Aggie Transcript, Isha enjoys reading, taking long walks with her dog, and baking.
ZARA SHEIKH
Social Media Manager
Zara is a founding board member, senior editor, and the social media manager for Aggie Transcript: Psychology. She is also involved on the Davis campus through her work as a community organizer at MENASA (Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian) Student Resources Center and as a research assistant at the Infant Cognition Lab. Her primary interests are in clinical psychology as well as social/personality psychology.
MIKO SANTOS
Editor
Miko is a fourth-year Psychology major. He joined The Aggie Transcript: Psychology to help disseminate psychological science and help give a platform to students who are interested in it. Right after graduation, he would like to pursue research in some capacity, whether that’s by working as a UX researcher in an industry company or as a junior specialist in an academic lab. He plans to eventually go to graduate school to study developmental psychology. In his free time, he likes to painstakingly perfect his Notion setup, listen to podcasts, and watch cooking videos on YouTube.

My name is Hastings Lorman and I am a third-year, senior-standing undergraduate at UC Davis. I am majoring in Human Development and minoring in Psychology. I am interested in studying the screening and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders in early childhood such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I am currently working at Miller Lab at UC Davis Health MIND Institute. Miller Lab examines shared early markers in ASD and ADHD in high risk siblings. After graduation, I hope to continue researching neurodevelopmental disorders at the MIND Institute in preparation for a PhD in clinical psychology. I hope to pursue a career in researching ASD and ADHD throughout the lifespan as well as working with children and families to provide support and resources. I enjoy painting, scrapbooking, and hiking in my free time.
Kaitlyn Li

Kaitlyn Li is a third-year Computer Science major and a web developer at The Aggie Transcript: Psychology. She is also currently a software engineer at Aggieworks and a small startup. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, listening to music, and playing video games.
RUBY LOPEZ MATSUMOTO

Ruby Lopez Matsumoto is a 4th year Psychology major with a double minor in Arabic and Middle Eastern History. She is the 2024-2025 Editor in Chief of The Aggie Transcript: Psychology and joined the team in Fall Quarter of 2022. Ruby loves working for the journal because it gives her the opportunity to read unique research written by her peers and expand her own interests in the field of Psychology. Beyond managing the journal, she is working to commission as a 2LT in the United States Army through the UC Davis ROTC Program.
MALHAR RARAVIKAR

Malhar Raravikar is a 3rd year Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior major. He joined The Aggie Transcript: Psychology to help give students a platform to share their psychological science studies. He intends to pursue a graduate degree in medicine or neuroscience after he graduates. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports (specifically badminton) and spending time with friends.

Shiloh Colongon is a 3rd year student with a double major in Psychology and Human Development. She joined The Aggie Transcript: Psychology in Fall Quarter of 2023 as an outlet for exploring topics related to cultural psychology and developmental changes throughout the lifespan. Outside of editing research papers, she loves to listen to music, create art, and explore new coffee shops.
SHEBA QUEEN ALVARADO

Sheba Queen Alvarado is a third-year psychology student, stepping up to the Editor-in-Chief position in The Aggie Transcript: Psychology for SY 2023-2024. Combining her passion for the human mind, behavior, and communicating science to the greater public, she is motivated to make scientific literature more accessible through AT Psych. As a first generation college student with a Filipino-American background, Sheba is inspired to explore different facets of psychology research surrounding cultural identity, multilingualism, child development, and the interdisciplinary relationships that speaks to her on a personal level. She is also a research assistant in the Language Learning Lab, working with Prof. Graf Estes at the UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain. When she’s not drowning in deadlines or burying her nose in some textbook, Sheba loves cooking (or attempting to cook Filipino food), watching K-dramas, and drinking coffee.

Jinqi Liu is a Junior Editor at Aggie transcript, where he majored in Psychology and Cognitive Science. He sees editing as a combination of exploration and creativity. Every article has a unique story behind it, and it is his job to make those stories more powerful. In his free time, he enjoys playing Teamfight Tactics and skiing. Meanwhile he used to be a photographer.
LEILA HARPER

Leila Harper is a fourth year Psychology major enrolled in the University Honors Program. She is a junior editor for The Aggie Transcript: Psychology, as well as a research assistant for the Robotics, Autonomous, Systems and Controls Laboratory and a volunteer at your local used bookstore. She intends to pursue graduate school to become a mental health counselor. When not writing, she can be found reading, doing a puzzle, or watching a horror movie—all while drinking a cup of coffee.
FRANCHESCA GUILLEN

Franchesca Guillen is a third-year psychology student at the University of California, Davis. She is interested in studying Neurodivergences such as autism and ADHD, as well as disabilities, specifically Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She is currently proposing a research project that would analyze the inclusivity of personality tests regarding autism. She hopes to study these mental conditions in graduate school with more emphasis on inclusivity toward physically disabled individuals. Franchesca hopes to contribute to the field of psychology by providing insight into the autistic perspective and the experience of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Miranda La Torre Miranda is a second-year English and psychology major. She is a junior editor for The Aggie Transcript: Psychology. Besides The Aggie Transcript: Psychology, she is involved in the literary magazine Open Ceilings as a submissions reader and the Fashion and Design Society (FADS). When she’s not speed-writing a final essay, you will find her enjoying a book with boba.
ZAFREEN SHAIK
Graphic Designer
Meet Zafreen, our graphic designer. She is currently pursuing a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Psychology, aiming for a career in Neuroscientific Research. She is interested in researching neurodegenerative disorders, psychological drugs, and the intersections of biology, psychology, and pharmacy in her future. As a dedicated member of ALGene at the Bioinnovation group, she contributes as a student researcher and volunteers at the Arboretum. When she's not busy creating stunning visuals on Canva, you can find her immersed in existentialist German literature, watching dystopian TV shows, or sharing her midnight musings on her blog.

Youssef Qteishat is a 5th year Computer Science major and the 2024-2025 Web Developer for the The Aggie Transcript: Psychology. He is committed to making our web page as engaging and interactive as possible, ensuring the best experience for its readers. In the 2023-2024 academic year, he was a Software Engineer at Codelab. Outside of web dev, he likes to workout, bike, play video games, and spend time with family and friends.
